Bergamot Essential Oil has a golden, greenish hue, a thin consistency and a fresh, fruity, citrusy aroma. Slightly floral with a hint of bitterness, this aroma works well when blended with other essential oils such as Clary Sage, Cypress, Geranium and Jasmine.
It is commonly used in products such as skincare, soaps, candles and shower gels. It should be noted that Bergamot Essential Oil cannot be used on sensitive skin that has been exposed to sunlight, as its high bergapten content can cause severe burns. Warning: Bergamot Oil should also not be taken internally.
